Asus comes back with a new Asus Eee-PC variant. Weighing at 2.2 pounds, the new Asus Eee PC 900A boasts a powerful Intel’s Atom processor, 8.9 inch 1,024 × 600 resolution display, 1GB DDR2 memory, a choice of 8GB/16GB SSD option, 0.3MP webcam, 4-cell battery, Ethernet LAN support and Wi-Fi connectivity. There are also a total of three USB 2.0 ports, SD/MMC memory card slot, VGA output and Linux OS. The Asus Eee PC 900A (8GB model) Mini Laptop retails for $460 in Germany.

Quaduro Systems introduced its new Quadpad E84 Tablet PC that comes with a sunlight-readable LCD screen. The tablet features a 8.4 inch touch screen display (800 x 600 resolution) with 300 nits of brightness, 1GB RAM, 1GHz Celeron processor, Bluetooth and W-Fi connectivity. The Quadpad E84 is powered by Windows XP OS and has PCMCIA II expansion slot, SD/CF memory card slot and 8GB SSD. Pricing and availability info are still unknown.

Sharp E-Series LCD TVs

Sharp has recently released two new E-Series LCD TVs. Dubbed as the LC-20E5 (20inch) and LC-16ES (16inch), these monitors offer 1,366 × 768 resolution, 450 cd/m2 brightness, contrast ratio of 1,200:1, viewing angle of 178 degrees, and an automatic brightness adjusting sensor. Other features include Ethernet jack and the dual TV tuners (analog and digital). These new LCD screens will be released in Japan on September 10th, 2008. The LC-16ES (16inch) retails for $850, while the LC-20E5 (20inch) for $950.
