Phillips Internet Connected HDTV’s

Phillips has announced the launch of their new internet compatible TV’s set for release in April. The new service offered will be called Net TV and owners of the system will be capable of browsing the internet using their remotes. They have partnered up with a number of websites including YouTube, eBay and Netlog, which have been modified for enhanced tv viewing. Of course viewing content from other websites is perfectly possible, although not all text will be optimized for tv’s. The 8000 series will require a wired internet connection, but wireless junkies and neat freaks can spring for the 9000 and 21:9 series.
