Anyone who understands the signifigance of a high quality photo knows that no matter how many filters and add-ons you put on your camera, won’t do a thing unless the camera was great to begin with. This new Canon EOS 7D is a perfect example of a stellar camera.
Flip has just announced their new MinoHD which will give you a new sleeker body and the option to have your own custom graphic. It will also upgrade your storage space to 8GB and allow you to capture HD video in 1280×720. Also, the new 2 inch TFT screen will be much easier to see in bright sunlight.
Samsung has designed this concept camera, called the Blossom to try and take the complications out of the digital photography process. The camera is very simple, and doesn’t feature a whole lot to play around with, outside of the photo editing software already inside the camera, eliminating the need to do it on the computer.
People have been anticipating this 24.6MP camera from Sony for a while, and many were expecting a $2,000 price point, but to everyone’s disappointment, that is probably a longshot, and it will release at a much higher price, around $2,800. Let’s hope this is all just a bunch of rumors though.
Thanko has just released a new HDcam that is super compact but also takes surprisingly good pictures for it’s size. As far as resolution it features with 1440×1080 for the HDV and 1920×1080 for the HD. It only features 32 MB of internal memory but can support SDHC cards up to 32 GB, so that should be more than sufficient.
Is this what it seems to be? This is the new Nikon D3000 camera which boasts itself as an entry level DSLR. It has a smaller body than the D5000 and has no HDMI connector and no microphone which means no movies! It also has no articulating display. Other than that, the body seems to be fine and very usable. As for the power, we will yet know what this baby can do when it officially comes out.
This is the Olympus PEN E-P1, which offers compact, retro style as well as DSLR-like image quality and HD video recording. This 12.3 megapixel interchangeable lens camera has in-body image stabilization, a 3-inch LCD screen and a dust reduction system. $750-900.
