Grasshopper Foldable Electric Bicycle: Green Living!

David Gonçalves designed this bike as his entry to the 12th International Bicycle Design Competition, and even won a Merit Prize for it. Cool huh? The main feature of the bike is that it’s made of composite materials that make it rigid. It’s also able to fold itself, making it smaller and compact. Since it’s a bike with an electric motor, it’s non-polluting! A new design for an electric bike, the battery can be recharged via regenerative braking, or by stationary bicycling. The target market is mainly composed of active people with environmental concerns and health concerns who live in urban centres, plus people who live nomadic lifestyles. If this comes out, I’d be the first one to get it!
